Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and LOGOS Engineering Workspace ("LOGOS", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of our website, calculators and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By checking the acceptance box at sign-up, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf, and "you" includes that entity.
2. The Service
LOGOS provides web-based engineering sizing tools (calculators) that apply established methods and standards (for example Darcy-Weisbach, Colebrook-White, IEC, ISO, API) to inputs you provide, returning results, diagrams and, on paid plans, a calculation report in Word (.docx).
The Service is a calculation and documentation aid. It is provided to support qualified engineering work — it does not perform, replace or certify professional engineering judgment.
3. Engineering responsibility (please read carefully)
The Service is an aid to calculation, not an engineering opinion, project approval or professional certification. LOGOS does not act as the responsible engineer for any project.
You are solely responsible for the inputs you provide, for critically reviewing every result, and for the final decisions, designs and their execution in the field. Results must be checked by a qualified professional legally authorized in the relevant jurisdiction (e.g. holding the applicable professional registration / technical responsibility).
References to standards (IEC, ISO, ABNT/NBR, API, IEEE, etc.) indicate the method used; they do not mean the Service is certified by, endorsed by, or a substitute for the official text of those standards. You are responsible for confirming the current, applicable edition of any standard.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LOGOS is not liable for any loss, damage, rework, accident or cost arising from reliance on the Service’s results without independent professional verification.
4. Account and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
One person or entity may not share a single individual account to circumvent seat-based limits; team collaboration is provided through the Teams plan and its invited seats.
5. Plans, billing and trial
The Service offers a Free tier and paid plans (currently Pro, Multidiscipline and Teams). Prices, limits and features are those shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase and may change with prior notice for future billing periods.
Paid plans are recurring subscriptions billed in advance through our payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing you authorize the recurring charge for the chosen period until you cancel.
A one-time free trial (Multidiscipline, limited term) may be granted automatically at sign-up, once per user. Trial access ends automatically and does not renew as a paid plan unless you subscribe.
You can cancel at any time through the billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable for partial periods.
Free-tier limits (for example the number of saved projects and calculations) are enforced by the Service. You are responsible for any taxes due on your purchase.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or for an unlawful purpose; attempt to breach, probe or circumvent security, authentication or plan limits; reverse engineer, decompile or scrape the Service except as permitted by law; resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties as your own; upload malicious code; or overload, disrupt or impair the infrastructure.
We may suspend or limit access to protect the Service, other users, or to comply with the law.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, calculation methods as implemented, interface, text, diagrams and brand ("LOGOS"), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms and your plan.
These Terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you.
8. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the input data, projects and calculations you create ("Your Content"). You grant us the limited license needed to host, process and display Your Content in order to operate the Service for you.
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to submit any data you enter.
9. Availability and beta features
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features.
The Service, or parts of it, may be offered as a beta and can change or be withdrawn. Beta features are provided for evaluation and may be less stable.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. See also section 3 (Engineering responsibility).
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LOGOS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or business, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
To the extent LOGOS is found liable, its total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or where required by law.
On termination, your license to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. sections 3, 7, 10, 11 and 14) remain in effect.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date and version and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, including the Consumer Protection Code and the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), where applicable. Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of the operator’s domicile, except for any mandatory consumer forum provided by law.
