The LOGOS automation discipline will cover control loop modeling and PID controller tuning by established methods (Ziegler-Nichols, IMC, lambda tuning), plus field instrumentation sizing. You will see the method behind every tuning parameter and take away a Word report documenting the loop — the same provenance as hydraulics, now in the control room.
